August 30 Painting

Yes, big failure at the top left. I accidentally put the side of my hand there. Then the color lifted and I tried to fix it. Big mistake.

Another lesson... make sure your masking tape is really stuck on or else you get these awful bleeding effects pictured below :(

I learned my lesson... usually painting over a layer in watercolor gives you unwanted results. Also, there is a very small time window where you can lift paint nicely.

Hmm.. well, lots of mistakes in this one. This is the second tutorial from watercolour.tv. The blue paint dried out since the 3 years I used it so in squeezing it I ended up with an exploded tube of chunky paint :(

Don't laugh at me, but painting frightens me. I think that's why I learned Photoshop, so I didn't have to paint.
