My dad sends me a lot of pictures of him scuba diving. It seems the humphead wrasse is one of his favorites. It really looks like it has tattoos, and is also appropriately named the maori wrasse.

I thought this fellow looked funny so I drew him.  It is eaten in the Philippines and in Polynesian countries. It can live for up to 40 years!

In Germany, you can buy hard-boiled eggs at the supermarket, bakery, kiosk, etc. They usually come colored, regardless if it's Easter or not. Pretty practical if you are too lazy to boil your own eggs.

A halfbeak has a very long lower chin. I don't believe I ever tried it (sushi). Here's a nice link about this fish.

This fish looks like a worm, not a horse!
I think I cannot scale things properly; drawing fish to the left results in half a fish all the time!
I want to look for white pencils. The scales should actually be inverse color but it is impossible to do it with an eraser.

Another request, the bullseye or bigeye fish. I just found this nice fish database. That's a lot of fish left to draw! ... I have a feeling I should change animals soon so you guys don't get bored but I am still having fun with fish, so bear with me ;)

The Stonefish is the most poisonous fish in the world. But it seems it's eaten in China and Japan. I guess lots of people step on them in Australia accidentally too. He was too big for the paper so only drew half of him.

Today's drawing is the Samna, or Pacific Saury, which is related to the mackerel I drew a little early.
I ate a lot of these in Japan too, a nice meal to eat alone at the local udon shop.

Today's fish is the Halibut. It is another type of flatfish.

I think drawing these fish are really interesting.
I usually buy fish at the supermarket and have no idea what they really look like.

Today's fish is the Atlantic Cod, or Kabeljau in German. They are actually pretty ugly, aren't they? I buy them often at the supermarket. I had no idea they looked like that.
